Femke Borst

Femke Borst co-founded Arrow Advocaten together with Anita Nijboer.

Femke specializes in tenancy and real estate law and has been a member of the Association of Tenancy Law Attorneys (Vereniging van Huurrecht Advocaten) since 2002, where she now also teaches.

With more than 25 years of experience, she has built up in-depth knowledge of tenancy law.
Femke advises, drafts contracts, and litigates in both residential and commercial tenancy law. She has extensive experience not only with office space and retail, but also with healthcare real estate, industry, logistics, and the hotel and hospitality sector. She works for owners including an outlet center, a science park, hospitals, and care homes.

Femke has supported many of her clients for many years and is always ready and available to think along with them. She acts not only for commercial investors and businesses, but also for public authorities such as municipalities and water boards, semi-public bodies such as a port authority, and also for charitable foundations and cultural institutions.

Femke has extensive experience in everything related to the rental and letting of real estate. Whether it concerns drafting and negotiating a contract or model agreement, conducting due diligence in connection with a purchase, sale, or refinancing, guiding a redevelopment, or handling disputes with tenants over defects, illegal use, nuisance, renovation, assignment of tenancy, rents, and service costs, she is thoroughly at home in it.

* Femke Borst is the author of the chapters on Articles 7:230 and 7:230a of the Dutch Civil Code in the Sdu Online Commentary on Tenancy Law, a collection of article-by-article commentary on, among other things, Title 4 of Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code, including the relevant case law, legislative history, and literature.
